Romer is a travel connectivity service that lets you access the internet in 200+ countries at local prices — activated directly from your phone. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

We keep things simple: we collect only what we need to provide our service, we do not sell your information, and we give you control over your data.

• Account information: Your name and email address when you create an account.
• Payment information: Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — only a payment reference and the last four digits of your card.
• Device information: Your device model, operating system, and IP address, used to operate and secure the service.
• Connectivity and usage information: Travel destinations, connection dates, and data usage volumes needed to activate and bill for your connectivity.

We do not collect your browsing history, message content, or the specific websites you visit while connected.

• Provide the service: Activate and maintain your travel connectivity and process your payments.
• Improve the service: Understand how the app is used and fix issues.
• Customer support: Respond to your questions and resolve problems.
• Security and fraud prevention: Protect your account and our systems.
• Legal compliance: Meet our obligations under applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

We share your information only with trusted partners who help us operate the service:

• Payment providers: Stripe processes your payments securely.
• Connectivity partners: Network operators in your destination country deliver your travel data. We share only what is technically necessary to activate your connection.
• Cloud infrastructure: Secure hosting providers store and process our data.
• Analytics providers: We use analytics tools to understand aggregate, anonymous usage patterns.

All partners are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it for the purposes we engage them for. We may also disclose information when required by law.

We protect your information using encryption in transit and at rest, secure payment processing, strict internal access controls, and regular security monitoring. No system is completely secure, but we take protecting your data seriously. If a breach occurs, we will notify affected users and authorities as required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (Europe/UK), PIPEDA (Canada), or the CCPA (California). These include the right to:
